Job Description
MUSC Health Colorectal Surgery-Midlands Division is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Colorectal Surgeon to join our growing practice. Practice is based out of an academically affiliated central hospital with strong ties to the community.
Practice Highlights:
Join a well-respected Colon and Rectal practice with over 16-year history in the community.
Comprehensive scope of practice: Group manages the full breadth of colorectal surgery including endoscopic, anorectal, IBD, pelvic floor, colon cancer, and rectal cancer care. We have full access to endoscopic, advanced laparoscopic, and several robotic surgery platforms.
Growing referral base: We work very collegially with a large and well-respected group of gastroenterologists in town in addition to seeing referrals from surrounding communities. Hospital system is expanding primary care services in the area.
Multidisciplinary Cancer Team: Colorectal Tumor Board consists of colorectal surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and a clinical navigator. All members have experience and expertise allowing for a multidisciplinary approach to routine and complex cancer care for our patients.
Physician-advocating leadership: Hospital administration has a dedicated record of supporting physicians, creating a physician-friendly work environment, allowing doctors to focus on patient care.
Strong support staff: Office staff is experienced in supporting Colorectal Surgery patients and consistently receives excellent patient satisfaction ratings. Office has very low turnover with a collegial work environment.
Exclusively colorectal surgery practice with no general surgery call.

Qualifications:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Colorectal Surgery
Eligibility for medical licensure in South Carolina
Opportunities for clinical research may be available if candidate is interested, but research is not required.
Optional medical student and resident teaching opportunities likely to become available in a few years.
