Job Description Summary
The Echovascular Sonographer I performs echo vascular studies as required, including Echocardiograms, Cardiac Doppler studies, Color flow mapping, TEE studies, Carotid Duplex studies, Arterial extremity testing, Venous extremity studies and RAA's. Diligently prepares appropriate paperwork for echovascular studies. Learns the department/hospital routines in the various Hospitals served. Assists with Quality Assurance on an ongoing basis. Maintains rapport with physicians and other hospital staff. Ensures that care is delivered to assigned patients in accordance with medical orders and nursing standards and is documented in clinical records and on plans of care.Entity

Job Description/Summary:

For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous) Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. (Continuous) Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations. Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: Graduation from an accredited Vascular Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Ultrasonography program is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered. One year of training/work experience including a variety of Vascular exams is preferred. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS RVT) or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) is required prior to being hired.
