Job Description
The RN Service Line Program Coordinator supports the strategic, clinical, and operational functions of the Heart & Vascular service line. This role blends clinical expertise with program management, ensuring high‑quality patient care, efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration across cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and related specialties. The coordinator acts as a clinical resource, program strategist, patient advocate, and liaison between nursing, physicians, administration, and ancillary departments.
Additional Job Description
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience as a Registered Nurse with strong clinical knowledge and experience in the specific areas of work for data abstraction. Minimum two (2) years data abstraction experience and minimum of one (1) year within the department, or certification in Quality or Data Abstraction by either NAHQ (CPHQ) or ASQ (CQIA) required. Excellent critical thinking, reading comprehension, and communication skills. Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals/disciplines. Basic statistical knowledge and quality improvement experience preferred. Obtain certification where applicable and maintain memberships in appropriate Quality and/or other registry related organization where applicable. Additional qualifications may be required by some registries. Computer/internet skills and familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) essential. Licensed as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state required.
