MUSC Health is seeking a skilled and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Orthopedic Surgery team at MUSC Health Orangeburg Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing orthopedic program committed to delivering exceptional surgical and musculoskeletal care to patients throughout the region. The Orthopedic Surgery APP will work closely with orthopedic surgeons across the continuum of care, supporting clinic operations, inpatient management, surgical coordination, and postoperative follow-up. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinical responsibilities in a supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications:
Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Orthopedic, surgical, hospital medicine, or acute care experience preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skills
Passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care
Position Highlights:
Manage orthopedic inpatients in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and hospital teams
Conduct daily rounding, patient evaluations, admissions, consultations, and discharges
Assist with perioperative care coordination and postoperative management
Support orthopedic surgical workflows and continuity of care across inpatient services
Participate in patient and family education to optimize recovery and outcomes
Collaborate closely with nursing, rehabilitation, case management, and ancillary teams
Contribute to a culture centered on teamwork, efficiency, and patient-centered care
