Job Description Summary

The Occupational Therapist II develops, supervises and provides optimal patient care services as referred by physician for Occupational Therapy, based on population-specific needs utilizing a developmental and patient/family directed approach. Supervises volunteers, Occupational Therapy Aides, and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Under the general supervision of a lead Occupational Therapist III or Manager, acts as a mentor and expert in specific clinical area. Provides clinical education experiences for OT and OTA students. Participates in professional development and shares clinical knowledge and expertise with others. The Occupational Therapist II works in both Out-Patient and In-Patient services, all units throughout the hospital based on the referrals received and assigned caseload.
