Job Description
The Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy technician will provide distributive pharmacy services primarily to outpatients of the Medical University BMT/CAR-T clinic. This position will ensure timely and accurate dispensing of medication to patients for assigned areas; be trained to prepare hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products in accordance to USP 797 and USP 800 standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team-player with excellent time management and communication skills. The candidate will complete schedule review in order to plan for inventory management, and cover for other infusion pharmacy/sterile compounding operations as needed, including ART inpatient IV (hazardous and non-hazardous) batches.
Additional Job Description
Education: High School Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 2 years.
Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP), and national certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required and must be maintained.
