Job Description Summary

Under limited supervision, the Senior IT Project Manager provides project management services, directly supporting MUSC’s Chief Information Security Officer, overseeing the Cyber Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud Delivery and Security, Identity and Endpoint Delivery and Security, Telecom and Network Delivery and Security teams.
This position is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring project management activities, changes, and reporting across small to large and/or complex Information Solutions (IS) projects. The Senior Project Manager leads cross-functional teams, manages day-to-day tasks, and ensures adherence to standardized project management processes and documentation practices.
Key responsibilities include tracking and resolving project issues, managing risks and change requests, and maintaining accurate documentation such as project charters, budgets, and timelines. Additionally, this position contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and practices, while ensuring consistent application across initiatives

Job Description

Additional Job Description

Required Education/Skills/Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of Project Management work experience, or Masters and five (5) years of Project Management work experience.  Minimum four (4) years of work experience leading team-based IT projects required. PMP credential required.

  

A strong command of advanced project management tools and techniques is required. Candidates must be highly organized, demonstrate critical thinking skills, and show strong attention to detail. The ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-demand environment is essential. Candidates must also be capable of working collaboratively with multiple technical managers and project teams simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to build and maintain effective partnerships in a team-oriented environment. Experience with ServiceNow, particularly within the project management module, is preferred.
