Job Description Summary
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Hospital’s Clinical Neurophysiology Department (CNPS) offers a wide selection of neurological diagnostic testing including Neurovascular Ultrasound, EEG, EMG, and IONM. MUSC is a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center with world class technology (and attending physicians) and this position requires TCD experience. We have a Sickle Cell Center and service both pediatric and adult populations. We are in the process of expanding our NSICU. As MUSC’s neuroscience program continues to expand, we are looking for strong dedicated people to join our team with a passion to deliver the best possible healthcare for our patients. Our Clinical Neurophysiology Lab proudly comprises five accredited labs including an IOM team, Outpatient EEG team, Inpatient EEG team, EMG team and Neurovascular team. In fact, we are one of the two labs in the nation that hold the most neurophysiology lab accreditations. Our Sonographers and Technologists are among the most-qualified and talented available across the entire country. The Clinical Neurophysiology Department has built many opportunities for advancement within the department, as well as endless opportunities for continuing education. Additional Job Description
Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program of Vascular technology or the equivalent and registered as an RVT by ARDMS or as RVS by CCI is required and must be maintained. One year of Neurovascular Ultrasound work experience is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, either as a certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
