Job Description
The Trauma Program Performance Improvement RN collaborates with trauma program and Quality leadership to coordinate and facilitate the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program. This role involves overseeing trauma and injured patient data management, conducting performance improvement activities, and ensuring compliance with ACS standards to enhance patient outcomes. Additional role responsibilities include, but are not limited to, quality assurance of data and processes, education and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing. RN required; BSN preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in emergency, critical care, and/or trauma care required. Previous experience in a verified Level I, II or III ACS trauma center or state-designated trauma program preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school. Must have active South Carolina RN license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certifications required.
