Job Summary: Responsibilities of this position include administrative support for the HCC Associate Director for Population Sciences and Cancer Disparities and the Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) team as well as other cancer center administrative activities at the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center (HCC).
35% - Assist with ongoing study activities; Conduct telephone surveys with study participants. Enter the study data into the REDCap system. Conduct data quality assurance activities. - (Essential)
35% - Perform administrative support for the Associate Director for Population Sciences and Cancer Disparities. Provide technical assistance to staff, management, and the public. Order office supplies for the COE team. Order gift cards for the COE team Schedule travel arrangements for the Associate Director and other COE team members as needed and process reimbursement. Coordinate and schedule meetings for Associate Director. Work with various departments across and outside of the organization to schedule the meetings - (Essential)
25% - Program Coordination for Cancer Education Print handouts and create informational packets for cancer education sessions in the community, health fairs, etc. Assist with summer cancer education research training programs as needed. Contribute to tracking the long-term follow-up of the career outcomes of each student beyond the life of the program. - (Essential)
5% - Other administrative duties as needed for special projects planning and training event coordination - (Essential)
Preferred Experience & Additional Skills:
a. Experience in working with teams to assist in meeting community outreach and engagement goals.
b. Experience in Excel, SPSS, and REDCap.
c. Administrative experience working in an academic medical institution.
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
