Job Description Summary

Applicant with MD or equivalent, Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Certification in Cardiology. Candidate should have training in advanced heart failure management, experience in Echocardiography, including TEE as well as a documented record of excellence in clinical care and teaching.


Physician will provide 2 one‐week sessions of inpatient heart failure service per calendar year. Specific clinical responsibilities will involve inpatient care and consults for Heart Failure service. This would involve assessing patients, writing notes, communicating with referring physicians and teaching for house staff, nurse practitioners and students.

(Frequent) Ability to push/pull objects, up to 200 lbs., unassisted. (Frequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous) Ability to hear and understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet.
