Job Summary: The Project Rex Division within the Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Director of Clinical Research in Autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. This would be a doctorate level (MD, DO, PhD)faculty position (tenure track) at the rank of assistant professor or associate professor who would report to the Project Rex Division Director.
The roles and responsibilities for this Clinical Research Directorship will include:
1. Construction of a clinical outcomes database
2. Implementation of systematic data collection for existing clinical programs in the Project Rex Division.
3. Leading grant-funded or industry-funded projects in the areas of technological, pharmacological, and brain stimulation interventions for neurodevelopmental conditions
Current research funding is not required, but the candidate is expected to be fully funded within 3-4 years by research grants and/or clinical service collections. If the candidate has current funding, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences can explore the potential transfer of funding to the Medical University of South Carolina.
