Job Description Summary

The MUSC and Hollings Cancer Center are seeking a behavioral scientist, clinical psychologist, outcomes researcher, or implementation scientist for a postdoctoral fellowship in survivorship and cancer outcomes. The fellow will work in a highly multidisciplinary environment on several ongoing NCI-funded clinical trials and projects focused on mental health, cancer care delivery, and disparities among cancer survivors. Fellows will primarily be mentored by Evan Graboyes, MD, MPH, the Director of Survivorship and Cancer Outcomes Research (SCOR) at the NCI-designated Hollings Cancer Center and have opportunities to develop meaningful collaborations with other faculty in the Hollings Cancer Center Cancer Prevention and Control Program and the broader MUSC research community. Fellows will be mentored to develop their own novel research programs in cancer survivorship and outcomes and submit their own individual grant applications (e.g., career development awards). In addition, fellows will analyze existing and novel datasets to enhance strategies to identify, measure, and manage late and long-term psychosocial treatment effects among cancer survivors. Research is encouraged to focus on the cancer center’s catchment area, which features a high proportion of patients who are from racial minoritized groups, rural, and medically underserved areas.
