Job Summary: The Department of Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks candidates for a research faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to be responsible for the conduct of computed tomography research, focusing on novel photon counting CT technology. This incumbent will report under the supervision of the Vice Chair of Research and will be involved in the design of research studies, protocol generation, submission of grant proposals for extramural funding, oversee data acquisition in research patients, perform image analyses, and data extraction. The incumbent will have ample opportunities to lead and participate in regular research meetings, write and serve on investigative teams on extramural grants, present work at national meetings, publish in peer reviewed publications and expected to mentor more junior research personnel in the conduct of scientific studies. Efforts will be devoted equally to cardiovascular imaging research as well as support and serve as a resource for Department faculty wishing to engage in photon counting CT research.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 0: Commensurate with experience.
