Job Summary: The Department of Family Medicine is currently recruiting for a Statistical and Research Analyst III. The Statistical and Research Analyst is mainly responsible for data collection, management and analysis for designated telehealth research projects. The data management is complex as it requires interfacing with a variety of clinical and research databases. Statistical analyses is complex as it must account for multiple time points of data collection and repeated measures. This position will also oversee recruitment and retention of participants within designated telehealth research studies, providing training on recruitment protocols and ensuring data integrity and ethical considerations are followed. Training will also be provided to collaborators and study personnel on data management. In addition, the analyst will aid with other study-related activities as needed, such as pre-award administrative and post-award reporting support.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 5: $34,332.00 - $48,928.50 - $63,525.00 (min - mid - max)

Job Duties: 

  • 20% - • Provide DHEC personnel and program coordinators training on data collection, participant enrollment, database, reporting, statistical analysis and data sharing between MUSC and DHEC to ensure program protocols are followed and metrics are achieved - (Essential)
  • 20% - • Responsible for the development, compilation, analysis and reporting of all information originating in telehealth programs, independently overseeing data entry, analysis of data, and reporting of results. Uses computer program procedures for data collection and analysis to support the TelePrEP program and other telehealth programs relevant to the Department of Family Medicine. - (Essential)
  • 20% - • Coordinates with DHEC and The Navigation Center to develops procedures for records management and data sharing, designing database and data collection instruments as needed. - (Essential)
  • 15% - • Assist faculty with telehealth-related projects, including managing and directing the compilation, publication and presentation of statistical and/or other information. - (Essential)
  • 10% - • Develops and designs information systems to store statistical information and monitor trends, in order to manage TelePrEP and other clinical research programs involving telehealth. - (Essential)
  • 5% - • Post award management, including reporting, grant closeout and general administrative support. - (Essential)
  • 5% - • Performs other duties as may be required or requested by the Research Director. - (Essential)
  • 5% - • Assist with pre-award budget preparation, edit proposals and assist with the preparation of IRB applications for selected projects. - (Essential)

 

Preferred Experience & Additional Skills: Word processing, SAS, SPSS, progress report preparation. Master’s  in Public Health preferred. 1 year of experience preferred. Experience in health care research and the ability to collaborate with people at different research skill levels also beneficial. Ability to analyze and interpret data using various statistical and mathematical techniques and programs.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree and one year professional experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantified data. A master's degree in statistics may be substituted for the required work experience.
