Under direct supervision, provides a full range of activity coordination including assessment, treatment, planning, and therapeutic interventions in a manner consistent with the position qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. The activity coordinator shall provide activity coordination both dependently and in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team. The activity coordinator also shall demonstrate accountability for and contribution to the program development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. Encourages socialization of the population of patients at Chester Nursing Center. To provide for the well-being of the patient entrusted to the care of Chester Nursing Center inclusive of the physical, emotional and psycho-social issues that arise during their stay in the unit, within the scope of practice.

Experience: Familiarity with skilled nursing environment and experience working with adults, geriatric and disabled populations. Previous experience as an activity coordinator in a nursing facility is preferred.

Additional Job Description

Education: High School Degree or GED is required

Licenses/Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) certification is required
