MUSC Health-Northeast is seeking a registered Xray/CT Technologist in Columbia, SC 

**$15,000 Sign on Bonus**

This is a full-time position working a weekend Baylor Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7a-7:30p

Requirements 

  • 1 year experience preferred in CT  

  • Must be registered in XRAY

  • Current ARRT(R)  

  • Current South Carolina Certification  

  • Current CPR Certification 

  • Excellent customer service skills 

  • Positive attitude 

  • CT, general Radiology, Fluoroscopy, OR and Portables

Job Description/Summary:
 

The CT or Xray Dual Registered Technologist reports to the Imaging Supervisor. Under general supervision, the Radiology and CT/Xray Dual Registered Technologist performs high quality Radiology and CT/Xray examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from neonate through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician.

Operates imaging equipment: Radiology and CT or Xray, following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Provides radiographic support for all areas of the Hospital as needed. Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required. Avoids excessive repeated examinations by following guidelines.

Minimum Training and Education: Education: Associates Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 2-4 years. Graduate of an AMA approved school or training program, a 24-month approved School of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training (i.e. Military), AND be registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association. Support (ACLS) preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and CT or Xray Tech. Certification is required in modality area post radiology certification. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
