Job Description Summary

Provides direct line management and leadership for all EEG and EKG areas in the Columbia locations. Operational responsibility over EEG's and EKG's. Ensures proper standards are followed for practice and provides interface between the support services and clinical services. Facilitates care delivery system development and operation, including but not limited to staffing and professional delivery of services. Must be present for twenty percent of staffing needs as they arise.

Job Summary/Purpose: The Clinical Coordinator for EEG and EKG is a seasoned tech able to assess, create and implement new innovating resources that will meet the needs of care team members. Provides direct line management and leadership for all EEG and EKG areas in the Columbia locations. Operational responsibility over EEG's and EKG's. Ensures proper standards are followed for practice and provides interface between the support services and clinical services. Facilitates care delivery system development and operation, including but not limited to staffing and professional delivery of services. Must be present for twenty percent of staffing needs as they arise.

Minimum Training and Education: Must have an associate’s degree. At least 3 years of EEG experience.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Must be registered in EEG or obtain registration within 1 year. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports EKG and routine EEG's.

Manage supply inventory, supply replacement and supply ordering.

Oversee EKG and EEG daily operations.

(Infrequent) Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force. (Frequent) Examples include: To transfer a 100 lb. patient that cannot assist in the transfer requires 50 lbs. of force. For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous) Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. (Continuous) Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations. Additional Job Description

Associate degree, bachelors degree or an active student in good standing in a CAAHEP accredited EEG program. Must obtain EEG Registry or CNIM within 2 years of board eligibility.  Extensions of up to a year may be granted in certain circumstance's such as FMLA, pandemic, testing availability at the discretion of the manager and the Clinical Neurophysiology Medical Director.  If Registry is attempted and not passed, you must obtain within six months. Certification in Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
