Job Description Summary

The Quality, Accreditation, and Education Coordinator reports to the Systems Quality, Accreditation, and Education Director for Imaging Services. This position will work closely with department managers, radiologist, MR safety officer, and Radiation Safety to create, operationalize, enforce, and audit safe practices for their assigned division. Under limited supervision, the Quality, Accreditation, and Education Coordinator assist with regulatory compliance to ensure compliance with statutory mandates, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. Provides education to radiology leadership and faculty as it relates to patient safety, policies, PSI reporting, and quality initiatives. This role will assist with implementation of quality initiatives and key performance metrics as well as the facilitation of performance improvement.

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Associates degree with a minimum of five years’ experience. A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ experience or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience may be substituted for the five years’ experience. Strong health care related analytical and organizational related skills. A Computer/internet skills and familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) essential.

Imaging Quality, Accreditation, and Education Coordinator (RHN)

Join our Imaging team as the Imaging Quality, Accreditation, and Education Coordinator where you'll collaborate with department leaders and radiology experts to ensure the highest standards of patient care. This dynamic position will work closely with managers, radiologists, and safety officers to create, enforce, and audit safe practices in imaging across our system.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work directly with imaging teams to operationalize and monitor quality and safety standards
  • Assist in regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to accreditation and statutory requirements
  • Provide education and training to radiology staff on patient safety, policy updates, and quality initiatives
  • Support performance improvement efforts through quality initiative implementation and metric analysis

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Associate's degree with 5+ years’ experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills (MS Office proficiency required)

Physical Requirements:

(I) Ability to lift/lower objects 50 lbs. from/to floor from/to 36 inches unassisted. (I) Ability to lift from 36” to overhead 25 lbs. (I) Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force. (F) Examples include: To transfer a 100 lb. patient that can not assist in the transfer requires 50 lbs. of force. For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain vision 20/40 corrected. (C) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (C) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (C) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (C) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (C) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (C) Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. (C) Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations. (C) Ability to work rotating shifts. (F) Ability to work overtime as required. (F) Ability to work in a latex safe environment. (C) *Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions.
