Job Description
Responsible for the delivery of patient care by applying skills and techniques common to the practice of vocational nursing. The Licensed Practical Nurse functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs tasks related to patient care.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: Graduate from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and one year of LPN experience.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Graduated from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state. One year of LPN experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association (AHA) required. Some positions require certification in AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS), NIHSS Stroke Scale Certification, and Crisis Prevention training.
