Job Description
The Radiation Therapist II works under the direction of the Radiation Therapist III/ Special Procedure Therapist, Radiation Therapy Coordinator, Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physics team to carry out specialized procedure that focus on delivering high doses of radiation through the means of treatment utilizing a linear accelerator. Administrator ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Demonstrates a working knowledge of the special care required for patients of all age groups. Pre-treatment preparation of all cases; to include Daily Treatment, CT Simulation, Clinical Simulation, and Emergency Simulation. Accurate delivery of prescribed planned course of radiation.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy program. Experience: 3+ years of experience required. Certification: Current ARRT certification and licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is requiredIf you like working with energetic enthusiastic individuals, you will enjoy your career with us!
