Meduflex is the inpatient Float Pool at MUSC. Our primary focus is coverage for callouts and extended leaves of absence (oftentimes family leave). Depending on the role, we provide patient care at all four locations downtown: University Hospital, Ashley River Tower, the Institute of Psychiatry, and Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.Entity

Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 3 12-hr rotating shifts (2 night and 1 day shift), including some weekends & holidays
Job Summary/Purpose: The Staffing Assistant reports to the Resource Management Center Manager. Under limited supervision, the Staffing Assistant is responsible for assisting with the coordination of staffing needs for the organization, including, but not limited to, maintaining schedules, ensuring proper staff is deployed to each unit, answering phones, recording call-outs, providing administrative assistance and working to recruit for current open shifts within the organization.
Minimum Training and Education: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Healthcare experience preferred.
