Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/ Director, the sterile reprocessing tech cleans, inspects, assembles and packages all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical team in the operating room and other departments as required.

Additional Job Description

Education: 

High School Graduate or a GED certificate required. Completion of an approved sterile processing course or surgical technician program preferred. Certification preferred.

Experience: 

One to two years of surgical technician or sterile processing experience preferred.

Licensures/Certifications: 

Current BLS certification; Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting preferred.
