Job Description Summary
Serves as an Assistant Director of Student Recruitment for the College of Health Professions (CHP), with a focus on inbound recruitment activities. Reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment. Responsible for developing and implementing lead nurturing campaigns to keep leads engaged and progressing throughout the recruitment funnel, with the progressive goals of inquiry, apply, and application submission. Offers dynamic one-on-one consultations via multiple platforms to support prospective students and guide them through the application process. Conveys admissions and academic program information to prospective students via email, telephone, SMS, virtual platforms, and in-person appointments. Organizes and hosts virtual information sessions, webinars, and panels spotlighting CHP’s academic programs and maintains a weekly phone appointments schedule to answer inbound recruitment questions and guide prospects further into the recruitment funnel. Analyzes, interprets, and identifies recruitment data and trends to develop and execute annual inbound recruitment plans to support application and enrollment goals. Responsible for reporting on KPIs related to all inbound recruitment plans and making recommendations for improvement to ensure college enrollment goals are met. Supports the college’s recruitment efforts through coordination of recruitment schedules, reminders, due dates, and action plans, including the recruitment master calendar. Ensures that recruitment activities are aligned with stakeholder goals, and collaborates closely with Division Directors, program faculty, and other appropriate individuals across the MUSC campus.Entity

Lead Nurturing and Engagement
As it aligns with CHP’s established recruitment plans, the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment (Inbound) develops and implements targeted campaigns to keep leads engaged and progressing throughout the recruitment funnel, with the progressive goals of inquiry, apply, and application submission. Schedules and conducts follow-up communications via email, phone, SMS, and virtual platforms. Offers dynamic one-on-one consultations to discuss goals, interests, and program fit. Tailors content to support individual prospect needs. Guides prospective students through the application process, helping with questions about necessary documentation and supplementary materials and addressing common concerns and barriers to completing the application. Partners with the Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) and CHP Student Services behind the scenes to assist prospective students as they complete the necessary items for the full application.

Inbound Recruitment Activities
With an emphasis on outstanding customer service and rapid response turnaround, serves as the main point of contact for CHP recruitment inquiries from prospective students. Conveys admissions and academic program information to prospective students via email, telephone, SMS, virtual platforms, and in-person appointments. Organizes and hosts virtual information sessions, webinars, and panels spotlighting CHP’s academic programs by providing comprehensive overviews, supporting faculty presenters, answering questions live and via chat, and troubleshooting any technological issues. Maintains a weekly phone appointments schedule to answer inbound recruitment questions and guide prospects further into the recruitment funnel. Manages the CHP recruitment email inbox to support prospective students’ needs and meet daily benchmarks and response times.

Inbound Recruitment Plans
In support of recruitment goals and overall program marketing plans, the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment (Inbound) develops and executes annual inbound recruitment plans to promote CHP’s academic programs to prospective students. With guidance from the Assistant Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment and CHP’s Division Directors, analyzes, interprets, and identifies recruitment data and trends to support application and enrollment goals. Identifies mediums, cadence, and messaging for lead nurturing and engagement. Collects background information (which may include historical program and recruitment data, prospect inquiries, etc.) in support of these strategic recruitment goals. Analyzes prospective student data trends and keeps current with national and regional trends and best practices in student recruitment.

Recruitment Analytics and Reporting
Responsible for documenting, tracking, and reporting via MUSC’s CRM system all actions, activities, and KPIs related to inbound recruitment plans and initiatives to demonstrate their effectiveness. This includes but is not limited to, monitoring inbound recruitment activities, tracking attendance, follow-up communications, and sending emails to prospective students. Analyzes data to make informed recommendations for improvements to ensure college enrollment goals are met. Ensures that all inbound recruitment activities are aligned with stakeholder goals, and collaborates closely with Division Directors, program faculty, and other appropriate individuals across the MUSC campus. Annual metrics will be established at the beginning of each fiscal year and will be agreed upon by each program director and the Office of Marketing and Student Recruitment.

Recruitment Office Coordination
Supports the college’s recruitment efforts through coordination of recruitment schedules, reminders, due dates, and action plans, including the recruitment master calendar. Serves as an expert user in CHP’s Office of Marketing and Student Recruitment work management platform, Asana, and regularly updates and monitors recruitment-related tasks and action items. Coordinates each semester with Division Directors to schedule virtual information sessions for each program and updates all dates in multiple locations. Assists with other recruitment team processes as directed.

Recruitment Team Support
As a member of CHP’s Office of Marketing and Student Recruitment, supports the team’s initiatives and duties as needed. Occasionally travels as backup for the external recruiter during recruitment season (September through November, and February through April). Provides occasional support to the daily operations of the Student Engagement Office as well as support for student related activities (CHP and MUSC wide) as a member of the Student Affairs team.
A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of experience in student recruitment at an undergraduate or graduate level. Experience must include knowledge of policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to recruitment activities; assembly and analysis of data; ability to interact with prospective and current students and foster relationships with key external partners; ability to exercise good judgment; considerable knowledge of computer software, virtual meeting tools like Zoom or Teams, and experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system such as Anthology Reach or similar.
