Job Description

Position Description: The Medical University of South Carolina, Department of Health Sciences and Research invites applications for a full-time, 12-month non-tenured faculty appointment at the level of Assistant Professor.

The successful faculty candidate will have a research program in exercise related to neurorehabilitation and is expected to enhance current research, teaching and mentoring activities within the Department of Health Sciences and Research and participate in community and professional service appropriate to a junior faculty member. Combinations of areas of research expertise are welcome, and we encourage interdisciplinary and diverse perspectives. 

Ideally, we seek a collegial individual who either has a terminal academic doctorate in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities (Ph.D., Ed.D., etc.) or certification credentials appropriate for their teaching responsibilities. This is a non-tenured track faculty position with a salary and rank commensurate with qualifications.

The Assistant Professor must have a record of working collaboratively, as they will work closely with established research programs to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated collaboration.

Successful candidates should possess excellent communication skills and strong computer skills. We desire a team-oriented colleague who is willing and able to collaborate and share research methodology.
