Job Description
Responsible for driving a CDL truck, collection, delivery, and processing of solid waste and recyclables from all university and hospital buildings. Provides prompt, efficient, reliable, service which meets or exceeds customer expectations. Works independently or with students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis.
5%- Performs other duties as assigned.
5%- Competes mandatory training and trains new co-workers on daily operations.
10%-Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on sherd and hydraulic lift equipment. Cleans work area and equipment after use.
25% - Operates handheld computer, completes daily route, and turns in daily paper records on work completed. Utilizes AiM, Asset Maintenance Management System, to review pickup requests and location of bins. Also uses AiM to review designated routes loaded into the system, report jobs are completed, and charge for the jobs performed.
25% - Drives vehicles up to 33,000 GVW including but not limited to a box truck and a shredding truck to process recyclables and to perform other related recycling duties from designated areas of campus on a daily route. Conserves supplies and works as efficiently as possible. Utilizes Veri-Shred computer system in truck for shredding purposes.
25% - Sorts out, bales up, otherwise processes, and delivers material to appropriate storage containers on-campus or to the designated off-campus market. Maintains quality of materials collected to meet end market specifications. Performs customer service and education including interacting with customers over the phone and through email.

Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and one year experience in truck driving, operating a crane or operating a motor vehicle.
