The Medical University of South Carolina, Department of Clinical Sciences invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenured open-rank faculty to serve as Clinical Director of the Division of Anesthesia for Nurses. The Division of Anesthesia for Nurses (AFN) is housed within the Department of Clinical Sciences in the College of Health Professions. The AFN division is dedicated to preparing competent and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) ready to meet the needs of our communities through high-quality didactic education, clinical instruction, interprofessional collaboration, and outcomes-based research. Job Description
The Clinical Director plays a vital role in overseeing and advancing clinical education within the Nurse Anesthesia (AFN) program. This position includes opportunities for teaching, curriculum development, student advising, clinical practice coordination, and scholarly contributions. Faculty members are expected to foster strong relationships with clinical sites, ensure high-quality training experiences for students, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the AFN program.
This position is tenured track eligible, and academic rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
