Job Description Summary

CHP Department of Health Sciences and Research would like to hire a Program Coordinator - Advanced. Under limited supervision this role would assist in data collection, maintaining study and lab organization, recruitment of research participants, and attend seminars/workshops/lectures when required. This is anticipated to be a 20% FTE, fully grant funded.

Job Description

Provides assistance in the establishment of new programs or the modification of existing programs. Conducts surveys and studies of problems and needs; makes recommendations to appropriate officials. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the status of assigned program area(s). Reviews, evaluates and reports on assigned program area(s). Provides technical assistance and training to staff, management, the public and other governmental entities regarding assigned program area(s). Plans, supervises and participates in agency programs. Reviews the workload and operating procedures of a designated program area; determines priorities and makes staff assignments to control the workload.

The Program Coordinator I will independently perform data collections that involve the measurement of neurophysiological and biobehavioral measures.

Independently operate research equipment and hardware-software systems to collect outcomes from participants with neurological injury.

Independently assure participant safety during data collection sessions.

The Program Coordinator I will independently maintain study organization.

Independently complete data entry and data storage, in the form of both document hard copies and electronic records.

Independently organize IRB study binders.

Independently facilitate IRB communication.

Independently prepare and submit IRB applications, amendments, report-able events, DSMB reports, study protocols, and other regulatory materials associated with the projects.

The Program Coordinator I will independently contribute to the success of research studies by ensuring proper recruitment and scheduling of participants from appropriate clinical populations.

Conduct outreach to area clinics, for purposes of participant recruitment.

Use existing databases to recruit participants.

Screen potential participants to determine whether they meet study inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Schedule study participants using shared laboratory calendars.

The Program Coordinator I will independently prepare for data collection involving neurophysiological and biobehavioral measures.

Independently complete participant setup for experiments.

Train other team members in best practices regarding data collection preparation.

The Program Coordinator I will independently organize and maintain all lab-specific supplies to complete data collection procedures.

Lead primary organization of specialist research labs.

Maintain and order supplies for neurophysiologic and metabolic data collection.

The Program Coordinator I will attend seminars, workshops, in-service meetings and lectures to increase self-knowledge and skills.

Share new or improved techniques with other research team members and center investigators.

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and one year relevant program experience.
