Job Description Summary
A Program Assistant is needed to oversee and carry out multiple research projects in the Pediatric Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery division. The study projects include those centered on health disparities, improving access to care for children with sleep-disordered breathing with a patient navigation intervention, post-tonsillectomy pain and steroid randomized controlled trial, among others. The Assistant will work with researchers, clinicians, medical students, and patients/caregivers through organization of trials and recruitment of participants. Administrative duties include IRB protocols, grant budget management, building of REDCap databases, organizing meetings, and clinical trials.Entity

Job Description
Job Duties:
30% - Collaborate on research study activities as specified in the research study protocols, included but not limited to: Managing patient screening, recruitment, and enrollment into studies; conduct in-depth patient, caregiver, and health care provider interviews; perform data entry and data management activities; perform chart abstractions from patient medical records; perform literature reviews and assist with grant-writing and manuscript development tasks
25% - Creates and develops REDCap databases using research methodology knowledge. Assists with the creation of data collection forms (surveys or source documents)
20% - Collaborate with members of the research team in developing and implementing strategies for effective management of studies
20% - Reviewing regulatory documentation and participate in reporting and communications for scientific and IRB review
5% - Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and four years of relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
