Job Description Summary
The Vasu Lab in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology is seeking a candidate to be involved in cell biology, cancer biology and immunology and inflammation research. He/She will perform routine laboratory experimentation involving short- and long-term cell culture, electrophoresis, Western blot assay, microscopy, flowcytometry, molecular biology. A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural and life science areas is required for this position. Prior research experience in a biomedical research lab is preferred.Entity

Job Description
Job Duties:
E 35%- Experience/willingness to handle and experimentation using small animals, tissue collection and processing, routine treatment, and sample collection from live animals.
E35%- Data analysis and literature search, organizing the lab supplies and documentation, etc under the supervision of senior members of the lab will be part of the job responsibilities.
E30%- Works with senior members of the lab to get trained on new methods and may train junior members of the lab.
MUSC Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:
A high school diploma and two years work experience in a clinical or research setting; a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science may be substituted for the two years of required experience.
