The Transportation Director is responsible for providing innovative leadership for MUSC Transportation Services. The director is responsible for budgetary and operational oversight. They will work collaboratively with the leadership of the Office of Parking Management and Business Operations to provide timely transportation options for all of the constituent parts of MUSC in Charleston.Entity

Serves as the Director of University Transportation Services. Directs and manages the day-to-day operations of the MUSC Transportation Services and Fleet Operations units; Serves as a liaison to MUHA and MUSCP on matters related to ground transportation in support of the RHN and affiliated clinics; Responsible for employee shuttle bus operations, patient/visitor shuttle operations, Patient discharge service, Clinical Outreach Travel Service, State Fleet Program Administration, MUSC fleet maintenance/safety program, MUSC accident review board, and coordination with CARTA; Supervises a staff of 35 Equipment operators and transportations professionals; Responsible for an operating budget of nearly $5 million.

A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of full-time administrative/managerial experience required (preferably in the transportation industry) or a high school diploma with 10 years of full-time administrative/managerial experience, preferably with some in operations, transportation, or logistics.
CDL Class B or higher preferred.
