The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) provides clinical, research, and educational services in all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology medicine for patients located throughout South Carolina and the Southeastern United States. In 2023, MUSC Health was once again recognized as high-performing in gastroenterology and GI surgery by U.S. News & World Report, meaning it ranks among the top 10 percent of hospitals in the nation for complex care in this specialty.
At MUSC, all GI positions are connected by our Digestive Health, Endocrine, and Metabolism Integrated Center of Clinical Excellence (ICCE), meaning all GI physicians have access to MUSC's academic libraries, can participate in research and grand rounds, and can attain affiliate-faculty appointment, even if not in a faculty position.
Current openings with MUSC Gastroenterology include academic and community-based roles in the Lowcountry, Pee Dee, and Midlands regions of the state. We're looking for General Gastroenterologists, as well as specialists in IBD and Motility for clinician-educator roles, and positions in respected community practices.
