CT Technologists at MUSC play a critical role in capturing detailed cross-sectional images using cutting-edge CT technology, including networked CT units, dedicated protocol support, and the only photon counting CT in South Carolina. As a CT technologist at MUSC, you will be aiding in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions, collaborating closely with other care teams to ensure high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical environment.
As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist at MUSC, you have access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment to capture detailed X-ray images, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide range of medical conditions across 16 community hospitals including 3 level 1 trauma centers and many unique outpatient clinics across South Carolina. Radiologic Technology roles at MUSC are some of the most diverse, offering access to many different specialties as well as world class radiologists and providers.
As an Echo Vascular technologist at MUSC, you will use your expertise in ultrasound technology that focuses on evaluating the cardiovascular system, producing detailed images that assist in diagnosing and managing vascular conditions. Collaborating with our dedicated Cardiology teams, you'll contribute to the delivery of specialized care and ensure accurate assessments and personalized treatment plans for our patients.
As an MRI Technologist at MUSC, you will be at the forefront of medical imaging, utilizing advanced MRI technology including 3T, mobile, and upright MRI scanners. At MUSC our MRI technologists have access to dedicated protocol support and system MRSO support every day. Working in a collaborative and patient centric environment, they play a critical role in the delivery of exceptional healthcare outcomes.
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at MUSC, you will utilize advanced imaging technology to capture detailed pictures of the body's internal structures and functions, providing information beyond just structural appearance. Our technologists are responsible for preparing, handling, and administering radiopharmaceuticals at inpatient and outpatient locations. From Mobile to PET to SPECT, MUSC Nuclear Medicine continues to change what is possible in South Carolina.
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at MUSC, you will operate state-of-the-art imaging equipment to capture high-quality ultrasound images, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of diverse medical conditions. Your role will involve preparing patients, assisting procedures, acquiring high-quality images, and communicating findings to the interpreting physician while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide precise and compassionate care to our patients.
As a Mammography technologist at MUSC, you are critical to ensuring MUSC’s mission of preserving and optimizing human life in South Carolina and beyond. Mammography is provided in clinical and mobile environments, ensuring every South Carolina resident has access to breast health care. Mammography techs work closely with patients to make sure images are acquired safely, and review images to determine if they are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. These close-knit teams provide compassionate and consistent care every day.
As a vascular interventional technologist at MUSC, you’ll assist our physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, and more. Providing the highest quality of care, we treat an ever-widening range of conditions inside the body from outside the body by inserting various small instruments or tools, such as catheters or wires, with the use of various x-ray and imaging techniques. Our technologists are responsible for maintaining sterile technique, operation of equipment, quality assurance of imaging and compassionate patient care. Our Interventional Radiology department is at the forefront of innovation and new technologies, offering an alternative to the surgical treatment of many conditions and can eliminate the need for hospitalization, in some cases.
