  • Translate clinical and research information into clear, compelling visual narratives across the full patient journey — prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and research.
  • Create insight-driven creative solutions that strengthen MUSC’s visibility, enhance brand positioning, and differentiate the organization in the healthcare marketplace.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Brand Strategy to advance enterprise-wide creative standards, alignment, and effectiveness.
  • Execute high‑quality design work when needed, applying exceptional visual and conceptual skills to priority projects.
  • Provide art direction to designers, freelancers, and agency partners to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution.

Enterprise, Digital, and Agency Collaboration (25%)

  • Serve as the creative lead for cancer-care initiatives, ensuring all internal and agency-developed work adheres to MUSC brand standards and enterprise creative direction.
  • Collaborate with enterprise communications teams to ensure content is accurate, consistent, and effectively adapted for digital and enterprise channels.
  • Partner with writers, content strategists, photographers, videographers, and digital teams to deliver cohesive, multi‑platform storytelling.
  • Ensure all agency‑produced creative assets are retained by MUSC and properly managed within the enterprise digital asset management (DAM) system, maintaining organized, accessible, compliant asset libraries.
  • Act as a cross-enterprise creative partner, fostering alignment, collaboration, and high-quality outcomes.

Production and Creative Operations (20%)

  • Oversee creative asset development from concept through delivery, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with goals.
  • Manage workflows, timelines, and production processes across concurrent projects.
  • Deliver production‑ready artwork and collaborate with vendors and agencies across print, digital, environmental, and multimedia outputs.
  • Maintain efficient creative systems and structured file‑management practices.

Education and Engagement (15%)

  • Develop tools, templates, and resources that support effective cancer-care communication.
  • Lead workshops and presentations that promote creative best practices and elevate communication quality.
  • Champion a culture of design excellence and thoughtful storytelling.

Other Duties (5%)
