Job Description Summary
The Burn Care Specialist Nurse under the general supervision of the Burn Program Manager is responsible for assisting in burn wound care for all burn patients as an adjunct to the bedside burn nurse and the patient care tech. They will work as a team on a daily basis to create a daily wound care schedule. They will assist the nurse in the Surgical Trauma Burn Intensive Care Unit (STBICIU), 6W, and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). They will provide the wound care to all patients who are on other units due to their medical condition or the unavailability of a bed in either the STBICU, 6W or the PICU.Entity

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of three years related clinical nursing work experience required. Licensure a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state required. Certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA) preferred.
