Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Provide nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
  • Provide moderate sedation according to established policy and competency
  • Prepare patients, sterile fields, equipment, and supplies for procedures
  • Recognize subtle changes in patient condition and respond quickly to cardiac emergencies
  • Assist with emergency interventions, including defibrillation and temporary pacing
  • Educate and reassure patients and families throughout their procedural experience
  • Collaborate closely with Cardiologists and the multidisciplinary Cath Lab team
  • Promote exceptional patient safety, quality, and efficient procedural care

Additional Job Description

What You’ll Bring

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current South Carolina or Compact State RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and physiologic monitoring

Experience – One of the Following:

  • 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department RN experience
    OR
  • 2 years of Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology RN experience
    OR
  • 1 year of Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
