Additional Job Description
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of two years of work experience as a registered nurse in an OR designated area of practice required. Attendance in the Charge Nurse Workshop and successful completion of the MUHA Charge Nurse Competency-Based Orientation is required within 6 months of hire. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Some positions require certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
