The Coder 2 is a mid-level coding professional who independently manages coding assignments for a diverse range of medical records, including inpatient and outpatient services. The Coder II is expected to interpret complex medical documentation, assign accurate codes for procedures and diagnoses, and ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Additionally, this role involves working with CDI, physicians and other healthcare provider and participating in departmental training initiatives to foster knowledge transfer and maintain high coding standards.

Associate’s degree in health information technology or related field or 5 years coding experience; coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) required.
With Associate’s degree, minimum of 2-3 years of experience in coding and familiarity with coding software.
Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve coding issues.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
