Job Description
The Corporate Payroll Tax Analyst reports to the Corporate Director of Payroll. Under general supervision and within a large and rapidly growing Health System, this role is responsible for researching and resolving care team member payroll tax-related questions and adherence to all payroll tax laws and regulations. The Corporate Tax Analyst generates and reviews all tax-related audit reports and identifies and resolves audit concerns accurately and timely. The Corporate Payroll Tax Analyst works alongside our ADP Account Manager to ensure timely funding of payroll taxes, accurate and timely submission of W-2 file, managing the W-2 audit, reconciling reports for quarterly tax filings and deposits, registering new states for remote workers, maintaining and setting up local and state tax jurisdictions and resolving all ADP exceptions, rejections and corrections. This position is also responsible for the accurate and timely completion of tax audits, provides tax-related documentation and support during internal and annual external audits and resolves CTM questions and/or concerns.

Job Description

The Corporate Payroll Tax Analyst reports to the Corporate Director of Payroll. The Corporate Tax Analyst generates and reviews all tax-related audit reports and identifies and resolves audit concerns accurately and timely. The Corporate Payroll Tax Analyst works alongside our ADP Account Manager to ensure timely funding of payroll taxes, accurate and timely submission of W-2 file, managing the W-2 audit, reconciling reports for quarterly tax filings and deposits, registering new states for remote workers, maintaining and setting up local and state tax jurisdictions and resolving all ADP exceptions, rejections and corrections. Requirements:  

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year in Accounting, Business or a relevant field and 3 years of related work experience for a large and highly complex organization, preferably in healthcare; or an equivalent of directly related payroll experience and/or education; a certified payroll designation is a plus.

 

Considerable knowledge of tax accounting practices; strong analytic, communication and teamwork skills, an ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and highly complex environment; and an ability to solve problems in an on-line, real-time financial system. Must be able to apply policy and procedures to daily work operations, operate standard office equipment and possess the ability to communicate professionally through all forms of communication (phone, email, in-person and any other means).

 

Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. WorkDay, MS Access and ADP experience are a plus.

Additional Job Description

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Work Experience: At least 4 years of directly related payroll experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or work experience. Experience preferred at a large and complex organization. The ability to accurately make mathematical calculations; ability to solve problems in an on-line, real-time financial system and ability to audit information accurately and quickly. Must be able to apply policy and procedures to daily operations and possess the ability to communicate professionally through all forms of communication (phone, email, in-person and online messaging/meeting apps).
