Job Description

**$20,000 SIGN ON BONUS**

Tuesday- Friday 7:00am-5:30pm

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Modality XR/CT Technologist to join our radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, specifically focusing on X-ray (XR) and Computed Tomography (CT) modalities. This role requires a thorough understanding of imaging principles, patient care, and safety protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures:

    • Conduct X-ray and CT scans as prescribed by physicians, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
    • Adjust equipment and controls to set exposure factors, positioning, and imaging techniques.
  • Patient Care:

    • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and answering any questions.
    • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
    • Assist patients in positioning for imaging and provide support as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Operation:

    • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards are met.
    • Perform regular quality control checks and troubleshoot any equipment issues.
    • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the imaging area.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    • Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other staff members.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
    • Stay current with continuing education requirements and maintain professional certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Licensure and Certification:

    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography (R).
    • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or eligibility to obtain CT certification within a specified timeframe.
    • State licensure as required.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with proficiency in both XR and CT modalities.
    • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong technical skills in operating imaging equipment and producing diagnostic images.
    • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods and assist patients in positioning for imaging procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
  • Exposure to radiation and infectious diseases, following appropriate safety measures.
