Job Description
MUSC Health Midlands is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Operations Coordinator to support facility projects and lead regulatory compliance initiatives, with a strong focus on DNV accreditation standards. This role is responsible for coordinating facility-related initiatives, supporting vendor management, and ensuring that all projects meet regulatory, safety, and operational standards. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical knowledge, project management expertise, and a commitment to healthcare excellence.
- Assist with the coordination of facility-related initiatives across MUSC Health Midlands sites.
- Support invoice processing by entering Supplier Invoice Requests (SIRs) into OurDay and maintaining expense summaries.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
- Provide operational support to the Director of Plant Operations for ongoing and upcoming facility projects.
- Serve as the documentation lead for DNV standards across all sites.
- Maintain organized compliance binders and digital records for inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks.
- Coordinate with site managers and the divisional director to ensure readiness for DNV Accreditation Surveys.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local codes, including life safety, infection control, and environmental standards.
- Lead facility-related projects from initiation through closeout, including renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and compliance initiatives.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination and communication across departments and vendors.
- Prepare and present project updates, executive summaries, and compliance reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 4–6 years of experience in facilities operations or project management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of DNV, CMS, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and project management tools.
- Experience with vendor coordination and invoice processing systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with OurDay or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare facility infrastructure and life safety systems.
