Job Description Summary
Under the direction of the department manager the coordinator provides first line management responsibilities including clinical leadership and supervisory support to an assigned area of the operating room. Works in collaboration with team members, physicians, anesthesia, Nurse Manager/ Director, the health care team and hospital leaders to ensure a quality practice setting that supports professional nursing practice and quality patient care. Using nursing process interacts directly with patients, their families and staff for problem identification and resolution.Entity

Job Description
First level management. Typically supervises one or more areas of a department. Supervises two or more professional and or support staff at work as well as their day to day activities. Typically does not have the authority to hire, fire, or promote but their input on these types of actions is highly considered. Main focus is on each employee they manage. May coordinate the business aspects of a department to include but not limited to strategy, project management, budget planning and oversight and financial operations.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 6 years progressive work experience and 1 years management experience State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.
