Job Description

As our Medical-Surgical RN Director, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of nursing excellence while partnering with a dedicated leadership team that includes Virtual Nursing Support, an Assistant Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, and Charge Nurses on every shift.

What You’ll Lead

As Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the unit, with accountability for:

• Daily nursing operations and overall unit performance
• Quality outcomes, patient safety, and patient experience
• Staffing, scheduling, productivity, and workforce management
• Employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture
• Development and accountability of nursing leaders and frontline staff
• Regulatory and accreditation readiness
• Performance improvement and organizational goals
• Budget management and financial stewardship
• Collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary partners, and hospital leadership

Additional Job Description

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program required
• Master’s degree preferred or actively pursuing

Licensure & Certifications:

• Current RN license with the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact-state licensure required
• Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse certification is preferred
