Shift Details:
Responsibilities
· Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
· Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
· Utilize all available MRI resources, protocols, and technology to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
· Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures to promote patient comfort and cooperation.
· Adhere to established safety standards, infection control practices, and MRI-specific protocols.
· Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to patient needs and concerns.
· Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
· Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
· Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of MRI equipment and work areas.
· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental operations., and organizational policies and procedures.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience preferred.
Required Registration/Certification:
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), required.
Must be registered with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT), if not registered must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
