Job Description
Assists in driving the organization's long-range growth initiatives by identifying and pursuing new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams. Define, develop, and execute the organization's business development strategy to achieve growth targets and expand market share. Evaluate the viability of outside business partners, merger and acquisition opportunities, alliances, joint ventures, and venture capital sources to support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and drive revenue growth. Manage and nurture existing partnerships to ensure continued value and mutual growth. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new opportunities and understand industry trends and the competitive landscape. Collaborate with the sales team to align strategies and maximize/lead conversion. Build and maintain relationships with industry influencers, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
Responsibilities:
Manage MUSC’s existing MAP assets / relationships.
Provide a physical presence / serve as an ambassador for MUSC in new and developing markets, primarily the Upstate.
Serve as a chief point of contact for existing MAP partners to strengthen relationships.
Monitor, report, and collaborate with MAP partners to improve financial performance under various PSAs. Ensure data integrity and consistency between MUSC reports and internal affiliate reports.
Sit on JOCs on behalf of MUSC, leading meetings and establishing agendas with all MAP and Onyx partners.
Optimize Value Based Care and Specialty Pharmacy performance for MAP.
Grow MUSC’s footprint (focused, but not limited to the Upstate) via Exploration & Development of New Clinical Partnerships.
Together with MUSC’s Chief Affiliations Officer (CAO), identify and vet potential new partners across various Upstate markets.
Explore innovative partnership models with new entities that span the spectrum of integration, including mutually profitable PSA agreements.
Explore the Development of MUSC-Owned Assets in the Upstate and other Target Markets
Represent MUSC in the Upstate community.
Develop and maintain relationships with key leaders in the Upstate community, including elected officials, business leaders, and other health systems.
Requirements
Proven strategic thinking and planning ability.
Strong leadership, project management, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing abilities.
Data analysis and financial acumen.
Deep understanding of market trends and business models.
10 to 15 years’ experience in similar strategic executive role
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree preferred
Additional Job Description
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, and 10 years of progressive experience including 8 years in management/leadership roles.
