Job Description
Maintains image quality, productivity, and efficient patient workflow.
Adheres to departmental standards and modality-specific protocols.
Provides safe, compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the imaging process.
Utilizes the SHIELD reporting platform when there is an event that occurs outside a normal encounter.
Adheres to all MRI safety requirements, including zone protocols, implant screening, and ferromagnetic safety practices.
Upholds compliance and organizational standards.
Performs routine equipment quality control checks, assisting with troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and placing tickets as needed.
Supports onboarding and training of staff and students.
Facilitates a positive work and learning environment.
Participates in performance improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction, and safety.
Participates in staff meetings, lunch and learns, and quality meetings.
Maintains a professional demeanor in attitude, appearance, and communication.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Work Experience: 0-2 years of modality specific experience required. Registration/Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). ARRT MRI registration required within one year. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
