Job Description Summary

The Patient Access Liaison role is a partnership between Patient Access Capacity Management and the Specialty ICCE, Department and Divisions they support. The Liaison is the subject matter expert in ambulatory template access strategies and they work together to implement best practices for ambulatory providers. The Liaison conducts data analysis, makes recommendations based on the data to achieve ambulatory access goals and presents findings and recommendations on a frequent basis.

Job Description

The Access Liaison reports to the Director, Enterprise Patient Access in the Patient Access Center. Under limited and indirect supervision, the Access Liaison assumes responsibility developing, leading and managing the patient access strategy for a given ICCE across all locations.  The Access Liaison will act as a centralized resource with dual accountability to the Patient Access Center and ICCE Leadership to facilitate patient access and scheduling best practices for referring physicians, patients and others.  This role will ensure standardized and consistent scheduling practices, protocols, and procedures across the ICCE, while maintaining ownership of all departmental provider templates to ensure consistent master schedules.  The Access Liaison will lead process improvement initiatives in the clinic and the patient access call center to increase patient access.  Perform continuous capacity management assessments on providers' master schedules to ensure efficient performance and maximize patient care, continuity of care and patient and provider satisfaction.
