Job Description Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team, focusing on Inpatient Medicare Denials. This role is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and resolving denied inpatient Medicare claims using Epic. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Medicare guidelines, inpatient billing, and denial management workflows.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze inpatient Medicare claim denials in Epic.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate appeals and reconsideration requests.
  • Collaborate with clinical, coding, and billing teams to gather necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and internal policies.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce denial rates.

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • 2+ years of experience in hospital revenue cycle, billing, or denial management.
  • Proficiency in Epic (specifically in denial workflows and work queues).
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare billing guidelines and inpatient reimbursement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of working in DDE (Direct Data Entry) systems is a plus

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • 100% remote position.
  • Standard schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
