Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or staff pharmacists, the pharmacy technician is responsible for general distribution activities, including but not limited to, computer order entry, medication order fill, preparation of intravenous admixtures, floor stock and Pyxis med station medication filling, medication rounds and drug ordering and procurement activities, or other duties as assigned
The Patient Care Technician or Certified Nurse Assistant assists the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and walking. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. May serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.
Additional Job Description
Education: High School Degree GED required
Licenses/Certificates: Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in South Carolina or obtained within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
