Job Description

The Medication Area Auditor Technician will ensure medications are used and maintained in compliance with applicable regulatory standards and health system policies.


This position will cover our hospitals and clinics in the Catawba Division (Lancaster, Chester, Indian Land) and requires the team member to travel daily to sites assigned to them to compete medication area inspections and audits. Team members may also be required to cross cover other divisional area audits in the case of time off, leave or other extenuating circumstances.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP)
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT). Failure to maintain certification will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
  • Advanced certification: SC Board of Pharmacy State Certification
  • Minimum experience: 2 years preferred
  • Must be able to:
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
    • Multitask
    • Maintain composure under stressful situations
    • Pay great attention to detail
    • Demonstrate professionalism

Additional Job Description

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP), and national certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required and must be maintained. Additionally, the applicant is preferred to have an additional area-specific certification (may include but not limited to state certification, compounding certification, etc. One year of pharmacy related experience is required.
